It's been busy with many other things, least of which is music at this time. There are serious, and difficult and wonderful things happening. Hoping that all this leads to a new time of creativity and musical endeavors. PEACE!

Duo/Trio

Matt's trio will be playing for a coffee hour after the evening services at Tenth Church, all are welcome. Tenth Presbyterian Church, 17th and Spruce in Philadelphia PA.

Matt and Willie will begin there fun gallery music again in March. Join us for a special Jazz Salon at 9pm when you can sit in the gallery, have a drink and listen to some exuberant musical interaction with Matt's trio.

Thanks to all who enthusiastically supported us in all our Christmas shows and by purchasing our unique Christmas CD. We were astounded at the positive response. The CD was a big seller and the Collective seems to have established a great business relationship with Borders. In August MM recorded original music with bassist Steve Varner at the Reifsnyder Store, Lancaster's Steinway dealer. Work on mixing and editing is scheduled for the Fall.

The Christiane David Gallery has started a "jazz salon". Every First Friday, at 9pm, MM's trio will play a short mini-concert of exciting improvised music at the gallery, 142 N Prince St. Come out and enjoy the Lancaster Arts scene.

The Wheatland June concert of MM's jazz trio (Willie Morales, bass, and Aaron Walker, drums) was recorded and now the 9 live tracks are available in a slick, slim line CD for $7. Please email MatthewMonticchio.com if you would like a copy.

Recording is underway for the next sacred song CD, the follow up to Angels, Trees and Flowers. Pageant Music is foreseeing a November completion date and plans for a release before Christmas.

This album contains original worship music written to be sung at Wheatland Church where Matt serves as music director. These songs are in eclectic, contemporary styles. Keep a look out for this group playing live throughout the spring and summer months.

Dave Warfel has been one of Matt's closest friends since the early 80's - when they were 7 years old. Dave is a brilliant graphic designer and Matt is thrilled to have worked together with Dave on this new site.
